Alberta's top doctor updates COVID-19 situation in province Tuesday | LIVE

Alberta's chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw will provide an update on the COVID-19 situation in the province on Tuesday afternoon.
Hinshaw's update comes one day after the Alberta government updated its COVID-19 vaccine rollout and announced a plan to relax restrictions at continuing care centres in the province.
Starting May 10, new public health measures for continuing care centres will increase the number of designated support persons for each resident to four, and will also increase the number of people who can attend outdoor social visits. Limited indoor social gatherings will also be permitted at these facilities.
The province also announced COVID-19 vaccines are now being offered to workers at meat-packing plants throughout Alberta. A variety of approaches are being used including on-site clinics, pharmacies and Alberta Health Services clinics.
