The sudden death of 17-year-old Sarah Slate in Alberta, less than a week after she tested negative for COVID-19 last week when her sister fell ill, is one of many heartbreaking stories emerging from Alberta during the pandemic, shedding light on the province’s worsening situation.
Despite not knowing for sure what caused Sarah’s death, her family believes a variant of COVID-19 could be to blame.
