Alex Salmond launches Alba party in bid for independence super-majority

Scotland's former first minister has launched a new political party in what he described as a bid to build a super-majority for independence in the next Scottish parliament, which could also enable his own return to Holyrood. He said at the launch that the aim was to get Alba MSPs elected from every area of Scotland
