Americans react to Trump's tax returns ahead of first US election debate

Sky, 29 Sep 2020
At his latest press conference, Donald Trump refused to take questions about reports that he paid just $750 in income tax in the year he became President.

The revelations in the New York Times come at a key moment in the election campaign, with the first televised debate against his Democratic opponent Joe Biden scheduled for tomorrow night.

The former Vice President is already exploiting the claims, pointing out that nurses and teachers are paying at least 10 times more in income tax than a man worth an estimated $2.5bn.
