Analysis: Assad set to win poll dismissed by opposition as a sham

Thousands of Syrians in government-held areas of the war-torn country headed to polling stations early Wednesday to vote in a presidential #election set to give President Bashar al-#Assad a fourth term. The controversial vote is the second election since the start of a decade-long civil war, that has killed more than 388,000 people. FRANCE 24's International Affairs editor, Armen Georgian, gives his analysis.
