Apple patches a zero-day flaw exploited by Pegasus spyware
Al Jazeera, 15 Sep 2021
Apple has released software to fix a security flaw, that allowed hackers to infect iPhones and Apple other devices - without users clicking on anything.
Researchers say they captured the malicious code from Pegasus spyware, made by the Israeli company NSO Group.
It was used to hack the phone of a Saudi Arabian activist.
The flaw was a “zero-day” vulnerability, a term that refers to recently discovered bugs that hackers can exploit and have not yet been patched.
