At least 13 people were killed and dozens injured after a fire broke out at a crowded nightclub in Thailand’s eastern Chonburi province on August 5, 2022. The flames engulfed the entrance even as people fled the Mountain B nightclub, some with their clothes aflame. Thai police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. The flammable acoustic foam on the club’s walls may have worsened the blaze.
