Avalanche controls close popular Utah canyon road

The Utah Department of Transportation created a controlled avalanche Tuesday on a canyon road east of Salt Lake City. The road, which leads to popular ski areas, has been closed due to the avalanche danger and the control work. (Feb. 16)
