It's still not yet known what the verdict is in Michael Spavor's case, after a short trial was held Friday in China.
This week, the Chinese embassy in Ottawa has been louder than usual; in one blog post writing about difficulties in the China-Canada relationship, while in another article China calls for win-win cooperation, particularly in trade, but goes on to say it has "never arbitrarily taken a corporate executive hostage as some countries have done for a certain purpose."
It's not expected there will be much longer to wait for a verdict in Spavor's case, even as Michael Kovrig goes on trial Monday. Abigail Bimman reports.
