Bahamas leader on referendum for republic

The prime minister of the Bahamas declared allegiance to King Charles III on Sept. 11 in Nassau after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Just two days earlier, Prime Minister Philip Davis said he would support a referendum for the Commonwealth nation to transition to a republic. (Sept. 15)
