Beijing, New Delhi commit to bring down tensions

#China says it has reached "positive consensus" with #India to cool down tensions on the border. This follows a phone conversation on Sunday between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. #Beijing says the two sides have agreed that they should work together to ensure that any border disputes do not escalate into conflict. They've also reaffirmed commitment to deals already signed. China says communications will be strengthened and measures will be taken to build trust in border regions. The two senior officials have also agreed to complete the frontline troops' disengagement process as soon as possible.
