Breonna Taylor charges: Warrant was very sloppy police work

CNN, 24 Sep 2020
CNN's Drew Griffin says the real crime in the Breonna Taylor case was the events that led Louisville police to Taylor's home and said the police work that led to the warrant was "very sloppy."
A former police officer was indicted only on first-degree wanton endangerment charges for his actions on the night Breonna Taylor was killed by police.
Two other officers who also fired shots during the botched March raid were not indicted, meaning no officer was charged with killing the 26-year-old Black EMT and aspiring nurse. After the decision was announced, members of the Kentucky National Guard and state police were activated as protesters took to the streets and some clashes erupted with officers in riot gear.
The long-awaited grand jury charges against the former officer, Brett Hankison, were immediately criticized as insufficient by demonstrators and activists. They had demanded more serious felony counts and the arrests of the three officers at Taylor's apartment when she was killed.
