Demonstrators protesting the decision by a grand jury not to charge any of the three Louisville, Kentucky, police officers in the death of EMT Breonna Taylor returned to the streets in cities across the U.S. on Thursday for a second night since the announcement.

In Louisville, Kentucky, protesters confronted armed members of a group called "Oath Keepers," who said they had been asked by some local businesses to guard their property in the wake of protests.

Kentucky was just one of several cities that saw protests, with Pennsylvania, Missouri and New Jersey also seeing demonstrations.

On Wednesday, a grand jury determined only one officer in the Breonna Taylor case would face multiple charges of "wanton destruction" for firing into neighbouring apartments during a botched drug raid on Taylor's home in March 13, 2020.
