Businesses across Myanmar are shutting their doors on Monday for a general strike to oppose the military takeover. Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets, despite authorities warning that they could die if they take part. It has been three weeks since the military removed the democratically-elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other lawmakers from power.
