Capt. Eric Buschow of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said Friday that crews were experiencing “difficult conditions” as the search continues for “Glee” actress Naya Rivera, who went missing following a boating outing on Lake Piru with her 4-year-old son earlier in the week.

Police said they were using technology to scan the bottom of the lake, but despite some promising leads, had not found Rivera.

Rivera, 33, is presumed dead after she did not return after renting a boat and going out on Lake Piru, which is about an hour’s drive from Los Angeles, Calif.

Her son was found asleep in the boat in the northern end of the lake on late Wednesday afternoon.
