Young Palestinians and some Israelis have emerged as the new face of activism against Israel's occupation of Gaza and the West Bank that began more than 50 years ago.

They're leading protests against Israeli air strikes and the forced displacement of Palestinians in Occupied East Jerusalem.

Social media posts on the conflict have been shared hundreds of thousands of times.

But are political leaders hearing their demands for change?
