CA, 09 Sep 2021
Leaders of the five major federal parties -- Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau, Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet, and Green Party Leader Annamie Paul -- take to the stage on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at the French-language leaders' debate to discuss Canada's most pressing issues as they contend for your vote to become the next prime minister in the 2021 election.

Maxime Bernier, People’s Party of Canada Leader, will not be participating in this debate as the party did not meet the Leaders' Debates Commission criteria for qualification.

The topics for the debate will be announced on Sept. 6. The questions will be formulated by participant journalists based on concerns affecting Canadians.

Global News will be airing the full debate on Sept. 8 at 8pm ET which will be held at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Que.

The election will take place Sept. 20, 2021.
