Canada’s priority "is always" to bring Michael Spavor, Michael Kovrig home, Freeland says

On ‘The West Block’ with Mercedes Stephenson, Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland says the detainment of Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig in China is personal for her.

“When I was foreign minister, I worked hard on the cases of Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, I got to know the families of these brave Canadians, and it is totally unacceptable to me that they are not here in Canada,” Freeland says.
