Australia is demanding a formal apology from Beijing over a Twitter post by a Chinese official. On Monday, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian posted an image of an Australian soldier holding a knife to the throat of a child. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison claimed the image was "fake," and demanded it be taken down. Another Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Hua Chunying, responded to Morrison's comments at a news conference. She said Australia should feel ashamed of its soldiers' behavior.
