The Chinese Foreign Ministry is rejecting U.S. accusations against China's coronavirus response made during the UN General Assembly session. Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said the accusations are in disregard of facts and are driven by political motives. Wang stressed that Washington is trying to shift the blame of its own mishandling of the pandemic. On climate change and environmental issues, Wang said China has actively shouldered its responsibilities but the U.S. has distanced itself from global efforts. He urged the U.S. side to quit unilateralism and stop playing political games.
