China says it does not demand Chinese companies to transfer data from overseas. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remark at the launch of a global initiative on data security. The framework provides guidelines to help address challenges to digital governance. Wang said the Chinese government acts in strict compliance with data security principles.
