Clashes break out between supporters of Senegalese opposition figure Ousmane Sonko and security forces as Sonko made his way to a court for a hearing on charges of rape against him. Sonko's journey through Dakar under heavy police surveillance finished with tear gas being fired to disperse groups of excited supporters who gathered along his path.
