Conservative Leader O'Toole spars with Trudeau in first Parliamentary appearance

CA, 01 Oct 2020
After self-isolating for two weeks because he tested positive for COVID-19, Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole has made his first Parliamentary appearance in his new role.

O'Toole, an Ontario MP, was elected leader of the party in August, but just ahead of the resumption of Parliament he contracted COVID-19 as died his wife.

In his formal reply to the Liberals' throne speech, O'Toole drew on his own experiences with being diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.

As Mike Le Couteur reports, it didn't take long for things to get tense between O'Toole and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
