Canadian Finance Minister Bill Morneau will detail Friday how the federal government plans to reshape its emergency wage subsidy program that has been extended until the end of 2020.

Morneau's fiscal update last week boosted the budget for the program to $82.3 billion from $45 billion.

The government has been under pressure to ease eligibility rules, specifically around the requirement of a 30 per cent drop in revenues, so that mroe companies under the cut-off can qualify.

Morneau has also been under fire recently for his involvement in the WE Charity contract.
