Sen. Tim Kaine questioned the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Wednesday about the agency’s "error" in posting guidance about airborne transmission of the novel coronavirus and then abruptly removing it.

CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said the document that was removed had been a draft and “had not been technically reviewed” prior to being posted, which is why it was removed from the website.

Redfield said updated guidance on airborne transmission would soon be posted after being technically reviewed.
