Coronavirus: Manitoba’s top doctor says capacity in health-care system is "stretched" | FULL

CA, 28 Nov 2020
Manitoba’s chief provincial health officer Dr. Brent Roussin said Friday that while strict restrictions have stopped COVID-19 case counts from rising to a worst-case scenario under recent modelling, capacity in the province’s health-care system is “stretched.”

Roussin added that It’s been difficult getting people to “buy in” to important health restrictions that would stop the spread of the virus.

Another 14 Manitobans died from COVID-19 and health officials said Friday that 344 new cases of the novel coronavirus were identified.

The latest cases bring the province’s total number of cases to 15,632. The new deaths bring the province’s death toll to 280.
