Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Thursday spoke about testing positive for COVID-19 after his diagnosis was confirmed earlier that day. DeWine said he's unsure where he contracted the virus, but those who had been around him in recent days have been tested as well.

He said they're being careful about who he and his wife sees, wearing masks and keeping their distance when visiting relatives.

Asked about what he'd say to those doubting mask efficacy given he wears them often but tested positive, he stressed the lesson to take away is the virus is "everywhere" but "your odds are just dramatically better" not getting COVID-19 if wearing a mask.
