Ontario Premier Doug Ford is expected to provide an update on the province's ongoing response to COVID-19 on Friday.

On Thursday, Ford said that he was “open to any suggestion” from health officials should they advise differently on the age of children who should wear masks when they return to school in four weeks.
The statement was in response to a question about the American Association of Pediatricians saying today that children as young as two could be wearing masks. Ford said they were still looking at the issue, including possibly having younger children wear face shields.

On Wednesday, the province reported 95 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death related to the illness.
