Coronavirus Pandemic: over 111,000 cases and 2,000 deaths in South Africa

In this edition, coronavirus cases have surpassed 111,000 in South Africa. Meanwhile, hospitals remain understaffed and medical workers are among the worst affected. Our correspondents spoke to nurses protesting for more equipment. Sudan has also been battling the virus and pharmacies are reporting shortages of basic medications. Finally, the French navy has worked with naval services in West Africa to clamp down on trafficking and piracy. Our reporters gained access to one ship in Ivory Coast.
