Coronavirus pandemic turns holiday into chaos for many planning on flying to North Africa

The European Union opened its external borders to several countries on July 1, and among them are Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. But for the hundreds of thousands of French citizens who have family in North Africa, that doesn’t mean they are now able to visit their loved ones: each country is setting its own rules for foreign visitors and can block those coming from France.
