Coronavirus: Steroid dexamethasone a 'major breakthrough' in treating COVID-19

Scientists in the UK have discovered a cheap and available treatment for COVID-19 patients.

They have described the use of common steroid drug dexamethasone in treating the coronavirus as a 'major breakthrough'.

Treatment options including hydroxychloroquine and Lysol have been shown to be ineffective at tackling the virus.
