Coronavirus: Trump says he mourns 150,000 dead from COVID-19, defends election tweet | FULL

CA, 31 Jul 2020
U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said he mourned for the more than the 150,000 Americans who had died from COVID-19, including former Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain who died Thursday several weeks after testing positive for the coronavirus.

He touted the various measures his administration had done to combat the virus and support U.S. citizens impacted by the virus both in terms of health and finances.

Trump then defended his call for a delay to the 2020 presidential election which he suggested in a Tweet earlier in the day, saying that mail-in voting would lead to widespread issues and potential voter fraud. He added that if the election is held using mail-in voting, the country would be a "laughing stock."
