Coronavirus: Trump touts job numbers, warns of executive orders if COVID-19 aid deal not reached

CA, 08 Aug 2020
U.S. President Donald Trump touted the latest job numbers for July in which the U.S. saw 1.8 million jobs added, saying the economy was coming back.

Trump also said they were working with Democrats in Congress to expand unemployment benefits, extend the moratorium on evictions and provide relief to families.

The president said he would potentially use executive orders if a deal is not reached soon to defer the payroll tax, possibly to the end of 2020, and extend the eviction moratorium.
