Coronavirus: WHO holds briefing on latest drug trial findings - watch live

Dr Soumya Swaminathan, chief scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO) gives news conference on research and development for Covid-19 vaccines and therapeutic treatments. The brief follows news that dexamethasone, used since the 1960s to reduce inflammation in diseases such as arthritis, cut death rates by around a third among the most severely ill Covid-19 patients admitted to hospital.
