Czech elections: Andrej Babis ahead despite Pandora Papers revelations

DW, 09 Oct 2021
Polls have closed in the Czech Republic after two days of voting in parliamentary elections. Prime Minister Andrej Babis looks likely to hold onto power despite a scandal-ridden first term.
Results from early counting show his centrist ANO party has won the largest share of votes, at just over 30%. Prior to the election, Babis was alleged to have put millions of dollars into shell companies to buy properties in France. He has denied any wrongdoing.
