Doctors fear ‘surge in deaths’ after Lebanon lifts drug subsidies

Lebanon has removed subsidies on some drugs needed to treat chronic diseases.
It means some people are paying as much as 80 percent more.
For the majority of Lebanese who are already suffering from a dire economic crisis, these essential medicines have become a luxury.
