Doctors warn plasma treatment still 'experimental'

The US Food and Drug Authority has authorised the emergency use of an experimental plasma treatment for coronavirus spruiked by US President Donald Trump. However, William Schaffner from Vanderbilt University Medical Center, says the enthusiasm for plasma treatment outweighs the data, with strong evidence lacking of its efficacy. The treatment does not have the FDA’s full approval.
