South Korean media says DPRK leader Kim Jong Un has apologized over a South Korean civilian's fatal shooting earlier this week. In a letter to his counterpart, Kim described the incident as "disgraceful" and apologized for "disappointing President Moon Jae-in and the South Korean people." The man killed was a fisheries official reported missing on Monday. It's believed he was trying to defect but was shot dead. His body was reportedly doused in oil and set alight, likely an effort to prevent coronavirus spread.
