First cases of new Covid-19 variant detected in France

The emergence in Britain and South Africa of two new #variants of Sars-CoV-2, which are potentially far more infectious versions of the #virus, has prompted widespread concern. One mutation has now been detected in countries across the world, including the US, #France and India.
