Former Hong Kong opposition lawmaker Sixtus Baggio Leung Chung-hang has fled to the US and is now seeking political asylum.
Haven Assistance, a group helping exiled Hongkongers, issued a statement on December 11, 2020, announcing that Leung left Hong Kong for Washington on November 30. He was not barred from leaving the city since he isn’t facing criminal charges.
