France’s Macron, Germany’s Merkel meet in security council aiming to renew ties in post-Trump era

French President Emmanuel #Macron and German Chancellor Angela #Merkel are to hold a virtual defence and security council meeting on Friday, with the Russian crackdown on opposition expected to be addressed between the two leaders. It will be their first official meeting since Joe #Biden became US President, which changes the relationship between members of the #NATO alliance, as FRANCE 24’s correspondent Nick Spicer reports from Berlin.
