French ex-parliamentary aide awaits verdict in rape trial

Georges Tron, a parliamentary advisor who served under then finance minister Edouard Balladur, awaits verdict at a French court on charges of rape. The LR mayor of Draveil, as well as his then deputy for Culture, Brigitte Gruel, are accused of sexual assault and rape by two former employees of the commune.
