French FM in Beirut for talks over economic crisis

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian was in Beirut Thursday for talks over Lebanon’s economic woes. The country is grappling with an economic collapse that has left millions struggling to feed themselves and their families. France, the former colonial power in Lebanon, is also the leading Western nation involved in planning efforts to help the Lebanese economy out of its dire straits.
