G7 warns Moscow over escalating tensions, troop build-up on border with Ukraine

While US secretary of state Anthony Blinken is in Brussels for NATO talks, the G7 group has been calling on Russia do de-escalate tension in Ukraine and put an end to troop build-up on the border. The group says the large-scale movements represent “a threat”, while repeating their support for the “integrity” of the Ukrainian territory. Tension has been continuously building between Russia and Ukraine in the Eastern Donbass region for years since a 2015 ceasefire failed to be respected.
