General election campaigns launch in Germany

Combating COVID-19 and climate change are emerging as two of the dominant issues in the German general election.
Although September’s vote is still more than six weeks away, two of the main parties have just launched their campaigns, promising a different agenda than that of the grand coalition that has governed for the past eight years.
