Greggs to reopen 800 shops for takeaway as lockdown measures continue to ease
Telegraph, 16 Jun 2020
Greggs will reopen 800 stores for takeaway orders from Thursday as it seeks to have all of its 2,050 shops operating from early July.
The bakery chain said sales will likely be lower than normal for some time, however, due to social distancing restrictions and the small size of its stores weighing on demand.
This means some staff, both in store and in manufacturing, will remain on full or partial furlough until sales levels begin returning to normal, it said.
