Home improvement retailer Kingfisher said Wednesday (July 22) that first-half earnings would be up on last year. It owns chains around Europe, including B&Q in the UK, and Castorama and Brico Depot in France. The group says second-quarter sales jumped by over a fifth. In June online sales were up by just over 225 percent on the year.
