Hong Kong eases Covid-19 curbs, tells customers to use contact-tracing app at reopened premises

Hong Kong eased Covid-19 restrictions on February 18, 2021, for the first time since a fourth wave of infections hit the city three months ago. All sports venues, gyms, beauty salons, cinemas and theme parks are allowed to resume operations. Restaurants can now extend dine-in hours from 6pm to 10pm and seat up to four people per table. All employees of reopened businesses are required to undergo Covid-19 testing every 14 days. They also need to ensure customers use the government’s “Leave Home Safe” contact-tracing app, or register their names and phone numbers. However, a ban on public gatherings of more than two people remains in place.
