Hong Kong postpones legislative election citing coronavirus surge

Pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong, as well as the White House, have condemned Chief Executive Carrie Lam's decision to postpone September's legislative election for one year.
Lam says the rise in coronavirus cases forced her to invoke emergency laws.
After that announcement, Germany became the latest western country to suspend its extradition agreement with the territory.
