A paramilitary group named "Quebec Liberation Front" was founded by separatists in 1963 in Canada. The organization was responsible for more than 200 violent incidents between the 1960s to 1970s. In response to the threat, then Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau invoked the only peacetime use of Canada's War Measures Act.
